Two caveats which appear on the video, but bear repetition here:
(1) This is recorded in January 2021, and is accurate at the point of recording – as ever in the pandemic, the best laid plans of mice and men are at risk of gang aft agley,
(2) This is my personal view: I’m not speaking on behalf of (for instance) the Law Commission, where I was a consultant on their Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty project which, via various twists and turns, led to the LPS.
