Alex RKThis hybrid networking conference is an opportunity to hear about the progress of the UN Open Ended Working Group on Ageing towards a UN Convention on the Rights of Older People as well as take stock of the current legal and policy framework of older peoples’ human rights in the UK and in Europe. Speakers will also explore the topics of human rights, disability and ageing and human rights in health and social care.
The proposed outcome of the networking conference will be strengthened networks and new collaborations, ideas for research and/or activities to strengthen the human rights of older people in the UK and worldwide.
This is a hybrid event with up to 50 in person places and online attendance. The in person location is at Bush House, Aldwych, King’s College London
The event is funded by the British Society of Gerontology, organised by the Human Rights and Social Care Forum (Dr Caroline Green and Dr Chloe Waterman) and co-hosted with Age International and the Institute of Gerontology at King’s College London.
