ERC VOICES upcoming events 

The marvellous VOICES Project has announced two further events. 

SEMINAR ON CONSENT TO SEX AND RELATIONSHIPS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES 

6th September 2017

 Institute for Lifecourse and Society, NUI Galway

The VOICES project is delighted to confirm the date for its upcoming event on consent to sex and relationships for people with disabilities. The event will feature personal narratives from storytellers in the project and critical perspectives on the law and policy in the area based on the Convention for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Registration for the event via Eventbrite will open in July 2017 and further details will be circulated as soon as they are available. 

VOICES PROJECT FINAL WORKSHOP

 22nd November 2017

Institute for Lifecourse and Society, NUI Galway

The VOICES project final workshop will draw together the four core themes of the project – criminal responsibility, contractual capacity, consent to treatment and consent to sex – and feature a mix of personal narratives, art and theoretical perspectives. The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Michael Bach, Managing Director of the Institute for Research and Development on Inclusion and Society and his particular area of expertise is in legal capacity of people with intellectual disabilities.
