Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill update and updated questions

The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill had its First Reading (a formality) in the House of Lords on 23 June 2025.  No date has yet been set for Second Reading.  The current version of the Bill, brought from the House of Commons, can be found here.

Seeking to assist in ensuring that whatever law is passed is good law, I have asked a number of questions of the Bill here (updated most recently on 24 June 2025, to include, in particular, new questions around independent advocates and the territorial extent of the Bill) which Parliament may consider need answering. Enthusiasts may wish to compare that list with the list I produced when the Bill was first introduced by Kim Leadbeater MP in November 2024 to see what questions have been answered, and what questions remain outstanding (comparison also shows the extent to which the Bill has grown in length since it was first introduced).

More resources about the Bill can be found on my resources page here.
