Draft Mental Health Bill – pre-legislative scrutiny timetable now announced

It was confirmed in the House of Lords yesterday (4 July 2022) that a Joint Committee of Lords and Commons will be appointed to consider and report on the draft Mental Health Bill published in June 2022, with the report due by 16 December 2022.  For more on what pre-legislative scrutiny means, see here; for my unofficial annotation of the current Mental Health Act 1983 with the changes proposed by the draft Bill, see here.
