Mental Health Act Review gathering pace – your help needed

The independent Mental Health Act Review is gathering pace.   On its website are two key updates:

A call for evidence: please see full details of the call for evidence online and if appropriate, please formally submit / ask your organisation to submit any evidence you possess which the Review should consider to MHActReviewEvidence@dh.gsi.gov.uk.

A call for applicants for roles on the Service User and Carer Group, and expressions of interest from organisations wanting to run service user / carer focus groups for the Review.  Full details of these opportunities, including how to apply, can be found here.

The call for evidence closes on 22 January and the call for applicants for roles on the Service User and Carer Group/running focus groups closes on 8 January.

The Review will shortly be announcing the launch of a survey specifically asking for input from service users and carers in its first investigatory phase.
