Alex RKResponding to the recent flurry of case-law about the use of the inherent jurisdiction in relation to adults, I, together with others on the 39 Essex Chambers Court of Protection team, have produced a guidance note for social workers and those working in front-line settings an overview of (a) when it is appropriate to seek to obtain orders from the High Court; and (b) key procedural matters relating to such applications.
