Capacity rationales, accountability and support – an article and a shedinar

A new article to which I have contributed, led by Dr Nuala Kane, has just appeared in PLOS ONE, called Applying decision-making capacity criteria in practice: A content analysis of court judgments.   It looks at the translation gap between language of the ‘functional’ test within the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the phenomena experienced on the ground in terms of areas where a person may have difficulty making decisions.   For a discussion between Nuala and I (recorded before the article was published), see here.
