Alex RKThe Advocate’s Gateway Second International Conference will take place on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd June 2017. Called Access to Justice for Vulnerable People, the conference will take place at the Law Society in London. It will explore the issues of access to justice in this area, combining and expanding interdisciplinary research and practitioner knowledge to encourage innovation and best practice. The aim is to support an international network to share knowledge and practice and the proper presentation of such cases globally. This conference will facilitate the exchange of perspectives, ideas and strategies between jurisdictions and disciplines. For more details, see here.
I reviewed the collection of essays that came from the first conference here, and I am sure that the next conference will be as thought-provoking. I would urge anyone with an interest in improving the participation of ‘P’ and vulnerable witnesses in the Court of Protection to consider contributing to the conference, whether by presenting a paper or by attending.
