Alex RKA reminder that the deadline for submission to the special edition on deprivation of liberty of the International Journal of Mental Health and Capacity Law is 31/01/2016. Although articles submitted after that deadline will be considered for publication in the next issue, it may be possible for articles specifically related to deprivation of liberty to be considered for publication in this special issue.
The Journal is an open access journal, producing two editions a year. It builds on the well-reputed Journal of Mental Health Law, with a revised name to reflect a wider focus. The special edition builds upon a conference held in September 2015 at Senate House in London: ‘Rethinking Deprivation of Liberty in a Health and Social Care Context’ conference’ held in London on 30th September 2015. The conference brought together legal, social work and clinical professionals, academics and law reformers. This special issue will build on the discussions and presentations at that conference, but it is not restricted to contributions from those who participated in this event.
We are keen to receive submissions of between 5,000 – 10,000 words (given the complexity of the issues, we envisage that many submissions may well be longer rather than shorter). A double blind peer review process will be used.
